Amazing!
Last night Brad got home late and we were in the kitchen serving up the chicken spaghetti I made for dinner. Biscuit had been moving a lot all day and he gave me another little hello from the inside while we were standing there. So I looked down and said hello like I usually do. Brad decided to try (again) to feel the baby move. He has been trying and trying to feel him moving in there ever since I told him that I could feel him. We stood there very still in the kitchen with my shirt pulled up and his hand on the right side of my belly. He didn't feel anything so he pushed a little harder (still not hard)... and BOOM!!!! Biscuit kicked his daddy HARD. Brad said 'WHOA!' and pulled his hand away. We were both laughing hysterically and I started to cry (shocker). It was a pretty amazing moment. I am so glad daddy finally got to feel his baby move!

Biscuit is a mover and a shaker
Today was a busy day for Biscuit! Even though mommy has been stuck inside all day because of the snow outside, Mr. Biscuit has been quite active today. It started off at about 6 this morning. I rolled into a sleeping position that I guess he was not so crazy about... because he kicked me! This was the first movement that felt more like a punch than a tickle! It definitely made me smile, and then I rolled over so he wouldn't be uncomfortable anymore. He has been moving on and off all day at random times. But tonight while I was walking around the house, I felt him moving for the first time while I was moving. Up until now, I have only felt him when I am sitting down pretty still and quiet. It felt like Mr. Biscuit was having a dance party inside my uterus :) Even as I type this he is doin a little jig on my right side. What an amazing feeling!

Bump pic #1
Been too long!
Let me first say that I am sorry that it has been so long since my last update! Biscuit, Brad and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas. We spent New Years with some of Brad's family and my parents at a cabin in Broken Bow, Oklahoma and had a wonderful time. I had a tiny bump at Thanksgiving and through the Holidays. Since the first of the year, Biscuit has really started making an appearance! I officially can't wear anything BUT maternity pants. I am pretty sure that it is now obvious that I am pregnant and not just gaining a few pounds. :)
A lot of big things have happened in Biscuit's little life since my last post! On January 8th, I felt the baby move for the first time. At first I thought it was a gas bubble, but then I thought about where it was and realized that it probably wasn't gas. I felt it sporadically for the next week or so. Brad and I went to an auction on the 16th and he really went crazy moving around in there when he heard the auctioneer (this made daddy very proud). I am now feeling him pretty consistently throughout the day, but it still feels more like a tickle than a kick. We have tried, but Brad has not been able to feel him from the outside of my belly yet! He is looking forward to that anxiously!
On January 13th, we found out that Biscuit is A BOY! Brad and I could not be more excited! Brad actually did a little dance in the ultrasound room when it was made official. I think that was the proudest I have seen him yet. Biscuit was actually grabbing his little boy parts during the ultrasound, and that gave us a good laugh. We also found out that Biscuit is a BIG boy! At that point (18 weeks) he should have weighed about 6.7 ounces on average. Biscuit measured at about 8 ounces! Maybe we'll have a little football player after all :)
The weekend after we found out that we were having a boy, we painted his room. The walls are dark brown and the ceiling is bright turquoise. We love it!
We do not have a name picked out yet, we have three that we are considering but no consensus yet. Hopefully we can make up our minds soon so that we can call Biscuit by his real name!
I think that about covers the big stuff I needed to catch up on. I will be better about posting in the future!
